There are two local newspapers, the Cincinnati Enquirer and NYK Post, that serve Greater Cincinnati and NKY that are both owned and operated by the same company. While much of the content addresses the same information there are many differences for the readers in both of these geographic regions. Other than possible advertisements for Northern Kentucky photo restoration or Northern Kentucky photo transfer, there are many other major differences between the two papers. Some of these differences occur in the news stories, the event listings, the sports section and the classifies. In 2001 terrorists attacked America, hoping to break our spirits. Instead, the nation rallied together and became stronger. We will always remember September 11 as Patriot Day. Entry of media into the human life made a connectivity with the entire world. Regional, national and international news became accessible at just a remote click. Growth in the media sector developed a sense of competition. Fighting with this, most of the news channels deviated from their actual path. The quality and relevancy of the information and news broadcasted by them came down. Moreover, the obtrusive role of media in critical situations is also not a good conduct. Let’s face it—while the media is meant to be fair and balanced, we all know it is far from it. But it’s still important for all of us to keep up with current events to remain informed citizens. So how can you get a clear picture of what’s going on in the world around you?
